Goodbye my sweet Spot

We said our final goodbyes to our Spot this morning.

This is an old picture, this is how I will always remember him, young, strong and healthy.

He was a BIG part of our family for over 20 years and he will be in our hearts forever.

He was the sweetest creature and gave us so much love and happiness, he is so missed.

Hopefully I will be back soon with a happier posting.

Thank you for visiting, Mary

  2. Oh, Mary, I am so very sorry. He sounds like he was a truly magnificent boy, and a cherished member of your family. I lost my cat Cleo last year, and I know how painful it is. I am sure Spot loved you very much, and he lived a long life so he could be a part of your family. I know many people don't believe that their departed animal companions visit, but I do. Every once in a while, I see Cleo out of the corner of my eye, or feel a cat jump on the bed only to discover there is no cat there. My cat, Freddy, will turn 16 in May, and I often tell him that our deal is he stays here for at least 20 years. Spot clearly had that deal with you, and he stuck to it. I would love to see more photos of Spot if you wish to post them. xx

  4. From the blog of Carmela (your comment on her zendala Dare) I came to your blog and read about the loss of Spot. I'm sorry for you, that's just what I want to say as one cat lover to another. Over the years I had some cats and indeed, you never forget them.

  7. Awww. I am so sorry! It is always really rough to lose a pet because they become such vital parts of our families. 20 years is a long time for a cat! I hope he had a very fulfilling kitty life!
